I am writing this for existing as well as prospective clients of Manhattan East, to convey a positive exper- ience I have had over the last couple of years. I have been a client since April of 1994 after having Manhattan East recommended to me by a close friend. I was quite honored to have Stephanie fit me into her busy schedule. After growing up going to a barber shop, this was a very positive change of pace.

For the first four years Steph had me using Paul Mitchell products. During one of my appointments, hair loss came up in conversation. After I commented on my receding hairline and my families' history of baldness, Steph pointed out a couple of spots on the top and back of my head that were thinning. She suggested I try a product made by Nioxin call Semodex. Steph explained what Semodex treatment was, and how it worked to rid the scalp of Demodex. She also explained the treatment that would follow. That was July of 1998. I used Semodex for three months and then started using Nioxin's Bionutrient Cleanser, and Scalp Therapy. In March of 1999 at Steph's recommendation, I started using Cytogen advanced scapl therapy. In June of 1999 I started on another three months of Semodex. Then it was back to the Bionutrient cleanser and Scalp Therapy. In April of 2000 I added NX3 follicle booster to the lineup. At the introduction of each new product Steph explained what to expect, and that each individual may have differing amounts of success with these products.

At first, I must admit I was skeptical. Not only had I never used this many products on my hair before, but I also wasn't seeing any change. I think I was expecting faster results. After a couple of months, when I was in for a regularly scheduled appointment, Steph got quite excited and pointed out some new hair growth on the top of my head. To be quite honest I couldn't really notice it. But it truly sparked my interest. I bagan taking a closer look in the mirror after showering. Sure enough, I could see new growth beginning to fill in the spot on the top of my head. Now I was excited!! At one of my next appointments Steph showed me the spot on the back of my head with a mirror. What a pleasant surprise to see the progress there as well. Now that the two areas on the top and back have almost completely filled in, I'm looking forward to both sides of my forehead tofollow suit, though Steph has told me that they will take longer to progress.

I certainly can't speak for all Nioxin users, but as an individual, I give high praise to Nioxin for it's effectiveness, and to Manhattan East for introducing me to a product that works.
